A Journal Page a Day....

Have you seen this AMAZING new journal from Dyan Reaveley? It's 9 x 12 inches of journaling goodness with alternating pages of heavy weight white and manila paper.

It is PERFECT for mixed media art and will take a beating with water, wet mediums and paints. Plus, as an added touch, there's a large, handy dandy envelope inside the front cover for all your clippings, treasures, do-dads and what-nots that you're waiting to include on your pages.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, you'll notice the stitched spine to keep all those delicious papers held together tightly.  It's really just the coolest thing....

We Were Spellbound by Ken!

Ken Oliver is the "creative" guy at Spellbinders Paper Arts. On Friday October 19th, we were lucky enough to have him spend the day with us, showing us all the newest and coolest tools from Spellbinders.

How beautiful are these?? And SO easy. Run an ink pad over the inside of an M-Bossability texture folder, place your cardstock inside and run through a Grand Calibur. Finish off the edges with a little "direct to paper" inking and voila! Gorgeous textured paper!

And look who else stopped by! Seth Apter of The Altered Page, who got a lesson on the Grand Calibur from Ken. Seth's work is amazing and he was really interested in how to incorporate die cuts and Spellbinders' cool textures into his own work. Catch Seth's classes at The Ink Pad later this year!

PS:
Dateline NY: Katie Holmes stopped in for a look at all the creative goodness. We're hoping she brings Suri next time!

Look Who Stopped By!

We were so pleased to have Pam Carriker, MaryBeth Shaw (The Stencil Girl!) and Andrew Borloz come for a visit on Friday. All three are so talented and we might just have a fun and exciting plan with them sometime next year. Stay tuned!!
